LOVELY PLACES TO VISIT

I want to show you the the Lil Prim Bluebird and devotional I recently won from Lea at Shabby Olde Potting Shed http://shabbyoldepottingshed.blogspot.com/ . I have been reading the devotional and have enjoyed it. Lea has a lovely Prayer Garden Room she has created where she reads her devotional. She has inspired me to try and build my own Prayer Garden. I am so glad I found her blog as I enjoy reading her posts and seeing all of her beautiful pictures of her gardens. Please take a moment and visit her blog...you will truly find it inspirational .

I also won a Boyds Bear Christmas ornament from Sharon at Happenings on Chaos Ranch http://happeningsonchaosranch.blogspot.com during the One World One Heart Giveaways. Please stop and visit her blog and see some of the lovely quilts and beading she has created.

Hugs,
Irma :)

FIONA THE FROG

She hopped onto my finger and that is where she will stay until she goes into her little castle to rest and waits for her next outing.

My Auntie D gave me Fiona for Christmas.

I think Fiona is just gorgeous.

Did I tell you how much I just love Frogs.

THE CARROTS ARE IN

Finally we were able to pull out the carrots. We have had so much rain and then we got the cold weather, we just were not able to pull them out until yesterday. Now I need to freeze these babies and store them away. Fresh grown garden carrots are just soooo sweet and very tasty. Yum, can't wait to cook them.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

I JUST LOVE SNOWBALLS!

Especially the ones you can eat. I made this for Valentine's and it was so delicious.

Found the recipe on the Food & Family Magazine.

Here's the recipe:

1 pkg devil's food cake mix
1 pkg. 8oz. cream cheese, softened
1 egg
2 Tbsp. granulated sugar
1 pkg. 3.4 oz. vanilla flavor instant pudding
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 cup cold milk
2 cups thawed cool whip whipped topping
1 cup flake coconut

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare cake mix as per instructions on box. Pour batter in a 2 1/2 quart ovenproof bowl.
Beat cream cheese, egg and granulated sugar until well blended, spoon into center of batter in bowl. Bake 1 hour and 5 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in bowl 10 min. Invert onto cake plate and make sure it is completely cooled before icing.

ICING: While cake is baking, beat dry pudding mix, powdered sugar and milk in medium bowl with whisk 2 min Stir in cool whip. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Frost with pudding mixture. Cover with coconut.

Hope you try this, it is really like a great big snowball cupcake.

Finally.... A Post

Wow, It sure has been some time since I last posted. I was having trouble uploading my pics. I did'nt know what to post so I just posted my little Christmas tree. I didn't have time to put up my big tree for Christmas, but I guess it turned out to be OK as I didn't have to spend to much time taking down my decorations. Hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. I know...I'm a little late. I now need to start thinking of Valentine decorations.

Well, just wanted to let everyone know I'm still here. Hope for a better post tomorrow.

Irma :)
